Saffron Indian Kitchen: Authentic Indian Cuisine in Montgomery, AL

My wife and I visited for dinner. We had samosa (potato and pea), chicken korma and kadhai goat curry. We also had a rosemary naan. We really enjoyed the samosas and chicken and goat curries, just the right amount of spice and lots of flavor. Would order those again. The only thing we'd nit order again would be the rosemary naan as there was too much rosemary for our taste. They did offer to change it though which was nice. Service was excellent, very friendly. Will be going back to try the lunch buffet which looks like great value.

Went in for a buffet on a Saturday. A good number of patrons indicative of a popular place. Not crowded so was seated promptly. Very good food, not spicy and still full of flavor. Planning on taking a larger group here next time.

I was with a group of 8 who decided on Indian food. The staff at Saffron were quick to get a table set within 10 minutes or less. We had 4 different checks which some places get annoyed but our server was very flexible. They answered all our questions, and I had several since this was my first time to eat at this establishment. Drinks were brought out promptly and refilled often. The food was brought out and was absolutely delicious. We each shared from each others plate and some ordered mild and others medium. The dishes were all very flavorful but not overly spicy. I really enjoyed this place and look forward to coming back to try more dishes from the menu.

I had the best experience this afternoon at Saffron - from great food to great service. Rahul, our server, was there to help us out all through lunch. It was such a pleasure to find an Indian restaurant worthy of repeat visits. As soon as I stepped in the door the smell of curry put a huge smile on my face. The buffet was filled with delicious Indian food. Some of it had a little heat, as most Indian dishes do, but there's certainly something for everyone. I definitely plan on visiting again in the future!

When you first walk into the place, it doesn’t look like much but the decor is nicely decorated with cultural Indian decor. You immediately smell the wonderful curry spice when you come through the door. They have several large tables and some smaller ones as well. Went here with family and we each chose different dishes. I chose the Tikki Marsala and it did not disappoint. Rich with flavor, this is hands down some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten and it just wasn’t my dish. The Butterrr Chicken, Coconut Curry Chicken and Tandoori Chicken were fabulous as well. Be sure to get some of the Garlic Naan which is great for dipping in the Tikki and Butterrr Chicken sauces. We started with some Mix Veg Bhajia fritters. They also had a good flavor with some dipping sauces, though I did find them a little “bready”. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The price per entree for what we had was between 22 and 24. May be a little pricey but the food was excellent. There was nothing that wasn’t outstanding and we had plenty of food to take home leftovers. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, look no further than Saffron Indian Kitchen.

Went to this restaurant yesterday for dinner and had a good experience overall. I ordered the chicken biryani, mango lassi, and chai. The biryani was delicious, with a generous portion size that was enough for two people. The masala was well mixed, and the raita was perfect. My only complaint is that the biryani wasn't as warm as I would have liked. The mango lassi was okay, but the biryani and chai were great. The service was prompt, and the atmosphere was pleasant, making it a nice place to dine. Will visit again for lunch buffet which looks great at great price.

Amazing Food first time ever having goat curry and it was delish’ 10 out of 10 will be back. Ask for Raul and do your self a favor and order garlic cheese nanaan and Samoas. My husband and I split an entree and took left overs home. They did not last long they were that delicious.
